Antalya (Pasha)

Antalya golf club, situated next to the 440-room sirene belek golf hotel, is one of the best golfing complexes in belek. Residents and tourists who like golf would be spoiled for options, as they can play one or both of the sultan and pasha 18-hole formats.

The courses were planned by european golf architects and david jones at the turn of the millennium, and they are largely green, with tree-lined fairways and a generous sprinkling of pot bunkers and reservoirs.

The pasha is 700 yards shorter than the sultan from the back tees, but as the club puts it, âĢľit is no walk in the woodsâĢĿ to play the smaller course because the consistency of greens, complexity of bunker placement, and position of water hazards are all equally fine on both courses.

On the front nine, holes 3 and 4 are back-to-back short par fours, while on the back nine, holes 11 and 12 are back-to-back medium par fours. The most difficult of these is perhaps the shortest – the 291-yard 11th, where water flows all the way down the left side of the fairway and four bunkers cover the green from tee-to-green drives.
