The Les Chênes course at Club du Lys is a classic parkland layout designed by Tom Simpson and opened in 1929. Set on sandy soil, it offers good drainage and consistent playing conditions throughout the year. The course is relatively flat, with tree-lined fairways shaping many of the holes and placing an emphasis on accuracy from the tee.
Strategic bunkering and a number of doglegs add to the challenge, requiring careful positioning to approach the greens effectively. For those planning a golf break in France, Les Chênes provides a traditional and well-balanced test in a mature woodland setting.
