The UK's Leading Golf Holiday Company
France
Dinard is the second oldest golf course in France and it's one of the great links courses. It was designed by Willie Dunn in 1887 and boasts spectacular sea views from almost every single hole. The course starts with some easy warm-up holes before unleashing the superb holes that run along the coast.
The course is more tricky than difficult, with its sandy soil, undulating fairways, small, fast greens and many pot bunkers. There are also a few trees and plenty of gorse bushes. The course can play short if there is no wind, but that is a rare thing on the Brittany coast. If you can, flight the ball low and use bump and run shots.
Overall, Dinard is a must play if you are in this part of France and dont forget to take lunch in the classic old clubhouse if only to enjoy watching other golfers finish their rounds on the 18thth green below.
