Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club

The Castro Marim golf course winds its way across undulating hills riddled with pines, with views over the river guadiana to spain. The grouse, the atlantic, and the guadiana are three nine-hole loops on the castro marim course. Owing to poorly spaced water hazards and fairway obstacles that can put you in difficulty, the castro marim golf course needs diligent play. Not to mention the well built bunkers hoping for a stray shot. With bunkers in front of the green and a lake behind it, the par-3 17th needs special course selection while still being exposed to the prevailing winds off the Atlantic.

Although Castro Marim's atlantic and guadiana courses wind across pine-clad hillsides, the following nine – dubbed "the grouse" – provide a greater sense of space due to the land being less wooded. The fairways are wider and the greens are broader at castro marim, all of which contribute to a greater sense of balance when teeing off.
