The South Course at La Manga Club is the resort’s original and most celebrated layout. Designed by Robert Dean Putman and opened in 1971, this par-73 course has hosted numerous professional tournaments, including events on the European Tour. Set across relatively flat terrain in Murcia, the routing features palm-lined fairways, numerous water hazards and expansive, well-guarded greens. While generous from the tee in places, accurate approach play is essential, particularly on the longer par 4s and par 5s.
Close to the Mediterranean coast, the South Course remains a cornerstone of golf at La Manga Club and a popular choice for a championship test in southern Spain.
