Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links is located on the Chanonry Peninsula in the ‘Black Isle’ with breathtaking views over the Moray Firth, only 20 minutes from the City of Inverness and 45 minutes from Royal Dornoch. This Championship links course is the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World (1793).
The course was re-designed by the five time Open Champion James Braid in 1932. Braid’s touch is evident in the strategic bunkering, clever routing, and emphasis on shot-making over sheer power. The layout rewards precision, creativity, and an ability to adapt to the wind, hallmarks of classic links golf.
Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links combines deep golfing heritage, masterful design, and a stunning coastal setting, making it one of Scotland’s most distinctive and underrated links courses.
