Located between Vilamoura and Quarteira, Vila Sol Golf Course is one of the Algarve’s most established resort layouts. Designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1991, the 27-hole complex is divided into the Prime and Challenge nines, which combine to form the main championship course.

Fairways weave through umbrella pines and gently undulating terrain, with water hazards coming into play on several of the stronger holes. While playable for a range of handicaps, accurate positioning from the tee is key to setting up approaches into well-guarded greens. Close to the heart of Vilamoura, Vila Sol remains a popular and well-balanced option for an Algarve golf break.
