Marco Simone Golf & Country Club is located on the outskirts of Rome and is best known as the venue for the 2023 Ryder Cup, where Europe defeated the United States 16½–11½. The original course was designed by Jim Fazio, before being completely redesigned by European Golf Design in collaboration with Tom Fazio II ahead of the Ryder Cup.

The new layout fully reopened in 2021.
