Alcanada

Ian named clube de golf alcanada, which was added to the top 100 list as a jewel on november 15, 2006, and has since advanced to a graded spanish course. The following are ian's initial nominating remarks:

To begin with, the scenery is breathtaking, stretching from the coast to the rolling hills. A remarkable aspect is the view through the bay to alcudia, which includes the island and its lighthouse. The course's configuration is complex, with valleys and ravines surrounding it, lots of very elevated tee shots, and a strong coastal wind on the flatter part on the coast.

This robert trent jones jr. style is immaculately manicured, with the greens rolling true and smooth. The fairways are green, and you can always count on a decent lie. I don't think there was a hole i didn't like – the raised tees were a blast, and there were a lot of reachable par fives. The par fours range in length from short and close to over 450 yards. There are also four excellent par threes, two of which are over 200 yards long.
