Deauville Saint Gatien Golf Club

France

Deauville Saint Gatien Golf Club is situated in the Basse Normandie region between the towns of Deauville and Honfleur. It overlooks the estuary of the River Seine and is surrounded by beautiful forests. The club is home to three excellent 9-hole courses designed by the famous French architect Olivier Brizon and opened in 1988. When played as 18 holes, the course covers up to 6,749 yards with a par of 72.

The courses are characterised by its good width fairways and its imposing well-placed bunkers. Although there is an absence of water hazards on the courses, the technical aspect of the courses will provide several challenges for golfers of all standards. The club is home to a spectacular Normandy-style clubhouse. It has a lovely atmosphere and is complete with original beams and timber supports.

The ruins of an 18th-century chapel run alongside the clubhouse and a large patio provides stunning views of the course. The reasonably-priced restaurant offers a wide range of good quality snacks and meals. There is also a well-stocked Pro Shop and fantastic practice facilities. The green fees at Deauville Saint Gatien Golf Club represent excellent value for money, making it well worth a visit.
