Bramshaw's original course, now known as the Forest Course and understood to be the oldest in Hampshire, was built by local resident and landowner, Philip de Crespigny, for the entertainment of his weekend guests in about 1865. With its open aspects and rolling heathland, it is in complete contrast to the Manor Course but equally as magnificent.
