With three championship golf courses, the PGA National Golf Academy in Scotland, and considered one of the world's great golf resorts, golf is at the very heart of Gleneagles. For almost a century, golf has existed here, with the first course dating back to 1919, the King's Course.
Three 18-hole championship courses offer a unique option for golfers and stunning views of the countryside surrounding them. The PGA Centenary is the signature course of Jack Nicklaus and the host of the 2014 Ryder Cup and the 2019 Solheim Cup. The King's and The Queen's courses are considered two of the finest inventions of James Braid, providing a definitive test of heathland and inland relations.
