Set across about 500–550 acres of countryside in north County Kildare, Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort combines rural surroundings with easy access to an inland championship golf course designed to test golfers of all abilities.
Guests can choose from a range of on‑site dining options, including the Waterways Restaurant, which serves breakfast and modern European dishes, and the Sundial Bar & Bistro, known for its casual, hearty cuisine and outdoor balcony seating overlooking the estate. For golfers, the clubhouse bar and restaurant offer panoramic views of the course and are a popular spot for drinks, light bites or meals after a round. Private and group dining can also be arranged for special events or larger parties.
While the resort does not currently include a spa or swimming pool, guests can enjoy walking and cycling trails around the estate, open countryside views, and plenty of outdoor space for recreation.
Accommodation includes a mix of hotel bedrooms, suites, historic Balyna House suites, and self‑catering two‑bedroom cottages with fully equipped kitchens, dining and lounge areas, and bathrooms, offering flexibility for different types of stays.
The Moyvalley golf course is an 18‑hole par‑72 layout designed by Open Champion Darren Clarke and European Golf Design. It incorporates tall fescue, large greens and strategic bunkering, blending traditional links‑style characteristics with inland terrain. The course played host to the Irish PGA Championship in 2016 and 2017 and previously the European Challenge Tour. On‑site practice facilities include a driving range with covered bays, multiple practice greens and short‑game areas built to USGA specification.
