We-Ko-Pa (Saguaro)

The we-ko-pa golf club is located just north of scottsdale on land created by the fort mcdowell yavapai nation, and it features two impressive 18-hole layouts: the cholla (opened in 2002) and the saguaro (opened in 2006).

The courses here deliver a spectacular desert golf experience in the shadow of red mountain, four hills, and superstitions, and are situated on land that is entirely devoid of residential or industrial buildings.

The three par fives on the scorecard at holes 4, 8, and 14 are graded stroke index 1, 3 and 2 respectively, suggesting that length does count in terms of scoring difficulty. When played from the back tees, the last of the four par threes is also a difficult hole, measuring 255 yards to the green.
