We-Ko-Pa (Cholla)

The cholla course at we-ko-pa golf club was originally recommended by paul as a hidden gem, and it was introduced to the top 100 list in february 2008. Since then, we've expanded our arizona best in state lists, and the cholla has made the cut. The following are paul's initial remarks:

âĢľwe-ko-pa (which translates to "four peaks") is set in fountain hills, just south of scottsdale, and is home to two award-winning golf courses: cholla and saguaro (named for the famous desert cacti that surround the landscape). The cholla course was designed by scott miller and opened in 2001, while the saguaro course was designed by ben crenshaw and bill coore and opened in 2007.

Both courses are constructed on land owned and established by the fort mcdowell yavapai nation, a native american tribe. With no homes built right near the venue, we-ko-pa is all about the golfing experience, with breathtaking scenery and vistas. some of the views from the elevated tees are jaw-dropping. even, the air conditioning is fantastic.âĢĿ
