The course at tpc las vegas, previously known as tpc at the canyons, is one of the few pga tour tracks open to the public.
The 7,104-yard course, described as "desert beauty" by bobby weed and raymond floyd, opened for play in 1996 and was designed in an environmentally friendly manner, with dramatic carries over deep arroyos and desert scrub offering a challenging and memorable round, particularly when the wind blows, as it does frequently here during the spring months.
Tpc las vegas (then tpc at the canyons) hosted champions tour tournaments and the las vegas invitational (now the shriners hospitals for children open) during the first ten years of service.
