Carrick - Golf Course in Scotland

About Carrick

The de vere party, the former owners, added the carrick course to cameron house's golf facilities in the summer of 2007, adding an 18-hole championship level layout to the current 9-hole "wee devil" layout.

Outside of his native canada, where he has designed and remodelled over fifty courses including king valley, angus glen, cobble beach, and eagles nest, golf course architect doug carrick's name may be relatively unknown, but de vere not only had the foresight to hire him to design his first uk course at loch lomond, but they have wanted to name it after him!

The carrick is unusual in that the front nine holes are played on comparatively level, open land by the scottish lowlands' border, while the back nine holes are played on higher ground in the scottish highlands before returning to the clubhouse by the loch.

Three of the first four holes have water running down the length of the fairways, giving the course a north american feel. The next two holes are both par fives, with the latter including 15 bunkers along its length, until the 9th hole returns to the clubhouse to complete the outer half.
