The bunkers at Bom Sucesso have steep faces and are lined with choppy and gnarled features instead of being flat.

The Bom Sucesso in Obidos, Portugal, is a golf course tough enough to challenge the world's best players from the white tees. Long carries are omitted from the forward tees, allowing players of all skill levels to appreciate the thrill of playing through the strategically spaced hazards.

The course's 17th hole is a thrilling par 5. It's at the course's highest point, turning downhill and right to left over some spectacular ridges to a green with the obidos lagoon as a backdrop. The best golfers would be tempted to cut the corner and get to the green in two, but the steeply sloping terrain to the left of the hole would make this a risky strategy.
