Ancient Sands Golf Club is located in El Gouna on Egypt’s Red Sea coast in Egypt. Designed by Karl Litten, the championship course blends lush fairways with the surrounding desert landscape, creating a distinctive golfing experience overlooking lagoons, mountains and the Red Sea. Opened in 2017, it has quickly become one of the region’s leading golf venues.

The 18-hole championship layout plays to a par 73 and follows the natural contours of the terrain, incorporating strategic bunkering, water hazards and elevated tee positions. Several approach shots are played over lagoons, while holes 13, 15 and 18 feature memorable semi-island greens. A unique highlight is the 600-metre par 6 second hole, one of the few of its kind in the region.

Practice facilities include a full-length driving range, putting and short-game areas, together with a dedicated three-hole academy course.
