Yangtze Dunes at Lanhai International Golf Club is located on Chongming Island, at the mouth of the Yangtze River near Shanghai. Set on naturally sandy terrain, it offers one of mainland China’s most authentic links-style golf experiences.
Originally designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course was completely redesigned and reopened in 2018 by Ogilvy Clayton Cocking Mead (OCCM). The renovation transformed the layout into a true walking-only links, removing cart paths and reshaping the land to create rolling fairways, expansive sandy waste areas and boldly contoured greens.
Playing firm and fast, Yangtze Dunes rewards creativity and strategic shot-making. Exposed to coastal breezes and framed by open horizons, it delivers a traditional links feel rarely found in Asia, making it a perfect for golfers seeking a distinctive and thoughtfully crafted challenge.
