PalmGolf Ourika - Golf Course in Morroco

About PalmGolf Ourika

The course at palmgolf ourika was designed by the canadian duo of neil haworth and stéphane talbot, and it first opened for public play in late summer of 2015. it is located to the south of marrakech, near to the snowy peaks of the atlas mountains.

The course is 6,692 meters long from the back tees, with holes crisscrossing a 180-acre residential area. The layout's broad, generously proportioned fairways are mostly bounded by big, sandy waste areas, giving it a desert feel – though six lakes also play a role throughout the round.

This luxurious new 18-hole project, developed by the palmeraie development company and run by troon golf, is the ideal complement to the 27-hole robert trent jones snr-designed sister venue at palmeraie on the other side of marrakech.

Penn a-1 bent grass was used on the greens, while riviera bermuda was used on the tees and fairways. Since it is morocco's first cart-only golf course, there are complete concrete pathways inside, and each buggy is fitted with a global positioning system to assist golfers with club collection and strategy.
